Coming Up: Building 30 Beds for Local Kids

Scheduled for October 29, 2026 | Santaquin, Utah | 30 beds

A bed is more than a piece of furniture. It is a safe place to sleep, a sense of security, and something every child deserves.

On October 29, SMPLife Foundation will partner with the UT–Lehi chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) for a private, hands-on build in Santaquin. Together, a team of family and friends will build 30 beds for local children who do not have a safe, comfortable bed of their own.

SHP will bring the lumber, tools, workstations, and instruction needed for the build. SMPLife has covered the cost of the bed-build project. The bedding was provided through a volunteer-led effort: Chelsea Rowley created an Amazon Wish List, and friends and supporters donated everything needed for all 30 beds within one week. Our focus now is assembling the volunteer team that will bring the project together.

Because space and workstations are limited, on-site volunteers are being coordinated directly. At the end of the evening, SHP will transport the completed beds to its American Fork shop and later deliver them to children and families in our community.

This is exactly the kind of partnership SMPLife hopes to create: provide the resources for something tangible, bring people together to do the work, and leave behind an outcome that can meaningfully improve a child’s life.

We look forward to sharing the finished beds and the impact of this project after the build.
